Getting started

  1. Open the app and read through the three introduction screens.
  2. Choose a six-digit PIN and confirm it. This PIN is the key to everything — see the warning below before you pick one.
  3. Add your first item: tap Photo, Document or Note on the home screen, or open the Vault tab and pick a section.
  4. Optionally turn on Face ID or Touch ID in Settings so you do not have to type the PIN every time.

There is no way to recover a forgotten PIN. The app has no server and no account, and the encryption key is derived from your PIN. If you forget it, the contents cannot be opened by you, by us, or by anyone else. Choose a PIN you will not lose, and do not rely on the app as your only copy of something irreplaceable.

Frequently asked questions

I forgot my PIN. Can you reset it?

No, and this is not a policy we can make an exception to — it is how the encryption works. We hold no copy of your key and no copy of your data. Nobody can open the vault without the PIN.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. Everything works fully offline. The only moments the app touches the network are when you tap a link to this page or to the privacy policy.

Is anything paid?

No. Photos, documents, notes and cards are unlimited, and there are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no ads.

What is the Security Score?

It is a running total out of 100 that rises as you switch on protections — biometric unlock, a shorter auto-lock delay, keeping the vault in use. The score sets your shell level, from bronze up to platinum, and opening the vault on consecutive days builds a streak.

Where is the calculator?

It is a small tool behind the calculator button at the top of the home screen, available once the vault is unlocked. It does nothing else — it cannot open or close the vault and has no connection to your files.

I imported a photo. Why is it still in my camera roll?

The app copies the photo into the vault; it never deletes anything from the system photo library on its own. After a successful import the app offers to open Photos so you can remove the original yourself.

How do I move my vault to a new iPhone?

You cannot — not yet, and by design. There is no cloud sync and no export, so the vault lives only on the device where you created it. Move your originals by hand before you switch phones.

Which languages does the app support?

English, German, Spanish and Italian. The app follows the language of your iPhone.

How do I delete everything?

Delete the app. Its encrypted storage is removed with it, and there is no copy anywhere else.
